Due to an internal promotion a leading civil engineering and utility contractor are seeking to appoint a cost manager to complement their team in Kent.
Schemes are water utility projects ranging in value between £500K – £5M each and consist of both reactive and planned works.
The company have been awarded a significant Framework on AMP7 and are therefore able to offer the successful Cost Manager the chance to work from project inception to completion and visibility of work load through to at least 2025.
Reporting the the Commercial Manager responsibilities of the position will include:
To assist with the development implementation of robust cost allocation processes
Ensure that cost strategies are adhered to and commercial strategy are followed
Develop excellent professional relationships with the supply chain and managers within the business to ensure the best possible flow of communication at all times
Analysis and review of costs using information management systems to ensure accuracy and rectifying identified inaccuracies.
Provide support during CVRs and cost forecasting weeks
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate experience working on a framework under administered under NEC terms and conditions.
Any previous experience working within the utility sector will be advantageous.
This role will suit a QS or Cost Manager with either client side or contractor experience.
