A leading surface coating engineering company is now looking for a Regional Operational Improvement Manager to join their team in the Midlands.
The incumbent will provide leadership and direction to multiple facilities across Europe, ensuring they are running at optimum levels. You will work with the individual facilities helping to achieve financial and operational improvements in order to company targets. This role reports directly into the European Managing Director.
You will be expected to work with different plants to help implement improvement initiatives.
The OPs Improvement Manager will also provide systems instruction, technical, and customer service support.
You will training and assist with problem solving to plant employees.
You will be expected to liaise with current and potential customers.
This role is advising Managing Director on best practice.
You must be a comprehensive change agent Project Manager – ensuring the Management System and Information Technology Systems are run effectively in new acquisitions and roll out it to existing locations.
Knowledge & Skills
We are looking for someone with Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in manufacturing, industrial engineering or BPI required.
5+ years related experience in engineering/BPI/Continuous improvement processes champion
Experience of training others in company management systems/BPI in EU facilities
Good understanding of other European Cultures
Keep up to date with the latest technical procedures and regulations. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Experience in MS Office applications. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
60% travel time or more is required.
