Mechanical Contracts Manager, UK projects, 2-3 days travel, competitive salary
Your new company
Our client is a building services provider in County Down that is now looking to recruit for a mechanical contracts manager for a number of projects across the UK. This is a family ran business that has expanded in recent years and will soon be moving to new premises. They look after the design, fabrication, install and commission.
Your new role
As mechanical contracts manager you will predominantly be office based, however 2-3 day on site can be expected for this role to resolve issues, attend site meetings and oversee progress. You will be working closely with the commercial project management team as well as the design team, sop previous design knowledge will be advantageous. Day to day duties will include vetting sub contractors, preparing programme of works, working to JCT contract and preparing accurate installation drawings. You will also be client facing and oversee procurement of materials and labour
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have experience working up to at least mechanical supervisor level on commercial and high rise residential buildings or hotels. If you are currently working as a mechanical contracts manager this will also be advantageous. You will also need to be open to the travel aspect of the job as carrying on site surveys, site meetings and progress meetings is expected.
